At Olympus, we aim to create an environment where Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are engrained in the fabric of our culture, driving innovation and empowering every employee to thrive in an environment of respect, fairness, and belonging. We strive to dismantle barriers, amplify all voices, and celebrate our differences through education, advocacy and inclusive practices.

Over the past six months, we’ve made a focused effort to expand our DEI programming reach so that our colleagues across the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil could take advantage of DEI events and resources. Because the Lehigh Valley-based LINC organization offers virtual events, we have been able to offer our employees across the Americas the opportunity to sign up for and attend LINC webinars and roundtables. LINC events are promoted along with our other partner and in-house events in a monthly “DEI Digest” and through our DEI Americas internal social media community. Employees are encouraged to attend events live but are given access to event recordings when live participation is not possible.

Our partnership with LINC’s Workplace Inclusion program has enabled us to expand our reach for DEI events and, in turn, foster a more inclusive environment. Through our partnership, we have had the opportunity to participate in roundtables to get our name out into the community as an organization that values diversity, equity and inclusion and to highlight our DEI leadership. Most recently, our General Counsel David Gomez participated as a panelist on the Workplace Inclusion in an Election Year roundtable. The panelists gave practical advice on the how to manage political discussions in the workplace.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with LINC as we work with them and other external partners to gauge the effectiveness of our DEI programming based on the level of engagement.
